NapoGloves with Mila Calmel

Hello fellow Blogreaders!
Today’s post will be short and to the point. Last year in December I made another series of photos (and videos!) for napo gloves – this time it was for a women’s collection of gloves for the next Winter season. The model was beautiful Mila Calmel, and the stylizations were provided by Showroom LPP. We were shooting in 4 interesting spots in Warsaw. We began with Gdański Bridge, then abandoned in Winter Temat Rzeka, European Square, and Hala Koszyki. The whole photoshoot was made with Sony A7s II + Canon 50mm f1.2. At the end of this post you can see a video made from 2015 and 2016 shots.

study of solitude

Hello fellow Blogreaders!
In today’s post there will be not only photos, but also my personal reflection on group session, where several models and several photographers meet on one set. I’ve been considering photos as a way of telling a story or show certain emotions for a long time now, so in my case a lot of intimacy is required. Therefore, I’ve always avoided group photoshoots or photography workshops, where many people fight for the model’s attention, and each one of them will eventually end up with a variation of the very same photo. The whole situation reminds me more of shooting celebrities on a photo wall rather than searching for something unique on your own. On the other hand, I wondered what these kind of events look like, and after many years I’ve decided to give it a try. The opportunity for that appeared when Poznańskie Plenery TFP informed about organising an apartment session, but I think I would come to similar conclusions after attending to any event of this type.

This post’s title is of course related to the photos. First, ‘study of solitude’ Ania:

remembrance trails

Hello fellow Blogreaders!
I’ve finally found a moment to catch up with the blog. First, a photoshoot that Justyna and I made in the first days of October. Justyna Sancja Milenkiewicz was responsible for make up, posing and stylization. Characterisation and further stylization were made by Dominika Cianciara. Our battlefield were abandoned allotments. The state of those corresponded well with the state of our main charakter. Come with me on a memory trail journey…

My Own Prison

Hello, fellow Blogreaders!
I wanted to make a photoshoot along the lines of lingerie + cinematic b&w + the light of sunset coming through blinds for a long time… but the unpredictable weather turned out to be a big problem. Luckily, there is no problem you can’t solve with flash lights – a description of the lighting will be as usually at the end of this post. The model, stylist and the owner of the place was already known from the blog (click, another click) Natalia. The claustrophobic climate, enhanced with a focused light and showing the “bars” in the shot made added up to a session which I called ‘My Own Prison’:

Back to school with Juliette in Wonderland

Hello,fellow Blogreaders!
Today’s post will be even shorter and more substantial, than my posts usually are. Recently I’ve met a wonderful blogger, Julia (Juliette in Wonderland). We went for a hour long walk in Jeżyce, during which we made a few illustrations for her post about grunge stylization. Model, make up artist and stylist: Julia. You can see all the photos below.

Here are a few words about the stylization from its author:
Back to school – grunge style outfit. A grunge stylization! When I think about September, the first things that come to my mind are plaid shirts, gray and black. I’ve decided to combine all these elements into one. I wrapped a black and red plaid shirt around a gray fitted sweater. Instead of a jacket, I put a denim vest on, a vest that I found in… if you curious where she found it, make sure to check out her blog.

Sleeping Maids

Hello, fellow Blogreaders!
This is the most awaited/late post in this blog history. For many reasons, but I think the most important of them all was my fatigue, and the whole hype around this project. For all the unitiated: ‘The Sleeping Maids is my first personal project, realized in September/October 2012. It was published in January 2013 in the ‘Foto’ magazine, and there were also two exhibitions with it – a mini exhibition during the Vth edition of the fashion event ‘Mała Czarna’ (Concordia Design, 06.04.2013) and an exhibition with vernissage in Strefa Kultywator in Poznań (20.04 – 20.05.2013). The culmination was a non-profit auction ‘Oddaj sztukę w dobre ręce’, where my works helped gain money for sociotherapeutic community centre Nibylandia. All the technical stuff, as always, at the end of this post.
